Student development and support services
i. Student mentoring: Student of all programs are assisted through a one on one mentoring and group mentoring program to facilitate their professional development.
ii. Foundation course in basic psychology is offered to students of the first semester Counselling Psychology and Psychology (HRDM) students
iii. Post graduate and Honours students of Psychology attended out bound Training program in the month of August 2014 at Visthaar.
iv. Field trips to substance abuse centres, Naturopathy centre, Psychiatry departments, rehabilitation centres, Industries, Community counselling clinics and CSA projects were organised for students of various courses.
v. All Undergraduate and Post Graduate psychology programs are internship intensive with students spending one month (100 hours) of summer internships across all programs and several other internships based on the requirements of each course.
vi. Professional development: post graduate students take courses on professional development and personal growth in the first year of their program.

i. BA Honors and MSc Students participated in the Youth Pro-action Lab – Youth conference organized by NIMHANS, December 9 , 2014.
ii. BA Honors Students participated in the Youth Trainer’s workshop “GO FOR YOUR GOALS” organized by Department of Clinical Psychology, NIMHANS on December 17, 2013.
iii. MSc Psychology(Clinical) students attended workshop on clinical neuropsychology conducted by Axonnet systems ,
iv. MSc Psychology (Clinical) students attended The clinical neurology CME conference on 7 and 8 March , 2014 at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences.
v. MSc Counselling Psychology students and MSc Psychology (HRDM) students attended the conference on Life skills assessment scale on 19 February at Christ University, organized by dream a Dream Foundation.
vi. BA Psychology Honors students participated in the pilot testing of cross cultural tool to measure trustworthiness being developed by Catherine T. Kwantes, Associate Professor, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, University of Windsor Windsor, and Professor L Prasad, Professor of Organizational Behaviour Indian Institute of Management Bangalore on 19 February, 2014.
vii. BA Psychology honors students interacted with BA Psychology students of St Oaf college, Minneapolis and conducted a joint Observational experiment in January 2014.
Awards and scholarships
i. Ms Komal Josan, MSc Psychology Clinical won a scholarship to study at the Asia orient Institute of the Tubingen university at Germany.
ii. Renni Ariplackal, PhD Scholar received the Maulana Azad National Fellowship for Minority Students under University Grants Commission for a period of five years.
iii. Watinaro Longkumer, PhD scholar received the Rajiv Ghandi National fellowship for SC/ST Candidate under University Grants Commission and funded by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
Outbound training for Final Year MSc Psychology and BA Honours students were conducted during the academic year at VISTHAAR in the month of August.
CSA Exposure visits were conducted for all First Semester PG and UG Students

i. MSc students of Psychology have gone on to occupy jobs in educational institutions , industries, training and development , banks, public sector , NGO’s, self-employment and Higher education in India and Universities in other countries and received paid internships.
ii. Students who completed their Masters programs in 2014 have obtained admissions to Doctoral Programs in International Universities such as Pennsylvania State University, University of Albany, Chicago school of professional psychology.
