PRISM 2021 - Research Idea Contest

Science and technology are key drivers to development as technological and scientific revolutions underpin economic advances, improvements in health systems, education and infrastructure. They have co-evolved throughout history and innovation is the primary driver of technological growth. There exists a strong correlation between science and technology. Science uses scientific methods in its experiments and collects data through systematic processes. Application of science can be seen in technology where it tries to solve the problems in the real world. Yet, this technology itself can be used to solve scientific problems.

PRISM 2021, the third edition of this contest, encourages the participants to think beyond theoretical research and look forward to ideas that solve scientific problems using Artificial Intelligence (AI). They have the opportunity to venture into the world of AI to showcase the potential of this latest technological trend to bring positive impact to science. The goal is to recognize and support promising research and ideas emerging from students / researchers. Great ideas will have the opportunities for funding towards further research, ideation and incubation.

Title: Artificial Intelligence for solving scientific problems

Participants:
i) Students in UG / PG from any discipline (Student category)
ii) PhD students, researchers or employees of research organizations (Researcher category)

(Students graduating in 2021 are also eligible to apply)
