X eBit 2019

The Department of Computer Science, CHRIST(Deemed to be University) annually organizes the project exhibition, X-eBit for the post graduate students. It provides them an opportunity to exhibit their academic project work related to Internet of Things and Advanced Database Management System concepts.  X-eBit 2019, organized on 27th Feb 2019, witnessed overwhelming and enthusiastic participation from the students of 4th semester MCA and 2nd semester MSc Computer Science.
 
The exhibition was inaugurated by Prof. DOMINGOS M CARDOSSO, University of  Aveiro, Portugal. Prof. CARDOSSO, during his inaugural address, highlighted the importance of Internet of Things and its real time applications. He appreciated the high quality of the students’ efforts and encouraged them to conduct and participate in technical symposiums, seminars, and exhibitions in order to gain more knowledge and exhibit their ideas to a wider audience.
 
More than forty students of MCA and MSc CS participated in the exhibition enthusiastically and with a positive competitive spirit. They were selected after being subjected to different levels of evaluations, which included evaluation by industry experts. Eight projects from IoT  and six Advanced Database Management System projects were showcased. The projects were demonstrated in specially arranged stalls set up along the main path way of the main campus and was opened to visitors from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. Many faculty members and students from CHRIST (Deemed to be University) and other colleges visited the stalls and appreciated the work done by the students. The competition was judged by a panel of industry experts which comprised Ms. Tapsya Kala, Software Engineer (Full Stack Developer) and Ginto, Tech Lead, Hansa Cequity. The judges appreciated the projects for their novelty and their potential real time applications.

Cash prizes along with certificates were distributed to the winners, chosen based on their highly effective and innovative project demonstration and implementation. Participation certificates were distributed to the remaining students for their competitive effort and for exhibiting and demonstrating projects of substantive quality.
