X ebit 2015

 

X-eBit, the Project Exhibition and Competition organized every year by the Department of Computer Science, Christ University, provides a platform for the postgraduate students to showcase their academic project work. X-eBit 2015 was organized on 26th February 2015, witnessed an overwhelming and enthusiastic participation from the students of IV semester MCA and II semester MSc Computer Science.

 

The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. Matthew Jacob Thazhuthaveetil, Professor, Supercomputer Education and Research Centre, and Department of Computer Science and Automation, Indian Institute of Science. His area of research is in Computer Architecture field.

 

More than fifty students of MCA and MSc CS with high spirit of competition and zeal participated in the exhibition. 16 project implementations in the areas of Computer Architecture and 8 project implementations in the areas of ADBMS were showcased. Some interesting projects included a Quadcopter, Land Rover, Soil Yield Analyzer, Railway Clock, Home Security System, Human Detector Robot, Traffic Density based Signal Management, Enterprise Project Management, Department Document Management and Healthcare Management. The competition was judged by a panel of industry experts. Stall decorations attracted a lot of visitors to the stall. What was heartening to see was the enthusiasm of the participants who worked many hours in the last one month to reach the requisite level of quality. One of the judges remarked that “These students have a bright career ahead of them” and the energy and passion they have is very infectious..
