Softex 2015

 

Albert Schweitzer said, “Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.”

 

This saying is apt for the journey of Softex-2015. The amount of time and energy the teachers and students spent towards this event helped make it a success and by-far the best Softex version yet.

 

 

Softex-15 is a national level IT Exhibition for young scholars to exhibit their innovative talents and broaden the spectrum of knowledge. It provided a platform to share knowledge in the emerging technologies.

 

The preparations started early in February. The faculty coordinators were Ms Monisha Singh, MrPeter Augustine and Ms. Beaulah S and the student coordinators were Gorang Gupta, Vivek V Roy, Kannika Malhotra and Sarah Thomas.

This year, Softex was held on 27th February, 2015 and was inaugurated by Mr Shanthan Malashetter. He emphasized the importance of learning new technology. He also intuited the recent trends in technology. He interacted with the participants and found their efforts creative and innovative.

 

This version of Softex saw a wide-variety of inventive and state-of-the-art projects from various colleges such as Oxford College of Sciences, Jyoti Nivas College, Maharani Laxmi Ammani College for Women, Al Ameen College and many more. The projects ranged from android applications to full-fledged websites.

The major achievers of the event were:

Runners-up: Jyoti Nivas College

 

The projects were evaluated and judged by Mr. Jeetendra Srivastav and Mr. Pankaj Kumar Jha from Silver Atena –An ASSYSTEM Company. They were impressed by the project ideas, and inspired us to have a dream and work to make that dream a reality.

Mr Vamsi Chandra gave the keynote address. He emphasized on recent growth of medical improvements and focused on the newer technology. He also was impressed by some of the projects, which were focused on concepts of big data. He also gave insights on startup culture.

 

The event proved to be a success in bringing out a healthy competition among the students of various institutions, helping students interact and exchanging ideas for future developments.
