2 Graphene attracted tremendous attention over the last decade due to its unique and excellent mechanical, chemical and electrical properties. Enormous growth of electronic devices in the scientific, commercial, military and communication fields made electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding of radio frequency radiation a serious concern of modern society. Large aspect ratio and high conductivity of graphene makes it a suitable material which can provide a high. Light weight, resistance to corrosion and flexibility gave graphene an advantage over conventional metal based EMI shielding materials. Since graphene finds application in various different fields, requirement of a sustainable resource is inevitable.Using natural resources is a solution for this problem. Objective is to synthesize graphene from natural resources (teak leaf, nut mug shell) by carbonising it and performing Hummers method.
