Overview

The Christ University, formerly Christ College, was founded in 1969 by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate Fathers with its vision “excellence and service,” the fundamental philosophy on which the institution has made its strong foundations, was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council for quality education with an A+.
The university is situated in the sylvan surroundings of Bangalore, The Garden City of India, with strategic access to several institutions of national importance.
State of the art infrastructure comprising of well maintained gardens, air-conditioned auditorium, seminar halls, conference halls, panel room, Ivy hall, health club, health club, cafeteria and kiosk, computer labs, internet facility, prayer hall and all other facilities of an institute of higher learning are the unique features of Christ University.
The Department of Philosophy offers the Bachelors Programme and Masters Programme in Philosophy. Research programmes such as M.Phil and PhD in Philosophy are also offered by the Department of Philosophy under the auspices of the Centre for Research.
