MUSICAL TRIBUTE TO GURUDEV

On May 7th is Shri Rabindranath Tagore’s birthday. On account of his birthday, Avirbhav, the Music club of the Department decided to pay tribute to this legend who is also a famous personality in the music field. Our idea was to sing the song Ekla Chalo Re by dividing parts amongst ourselves and then in the end, merging it together into one. Once this idea was conceived, then began the tough part. Firstly, we required participants who were willing to be a part of this tribute and there was a great response from the club members. Once this step was completed, we had to give out clear instructions regarding how to sing, the pitch and tempo to sing in and clear instructions regarding how they should record their respective videos. Once the videos were sent in by the participants, the most difficult part of creating this video began and that is merging and editing all the participants parts into one single video! But we were successfully able to overcome these difficulties and were able to produce a video successfully!
This activity was extremely engaging for all the participants and the entire process was fun-learning. The response from the club was great and the appreciation given by the entire department also was very heart-warming.
