The 11th edition of National Young Economist Competition at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) was conducted on the 5th of March, 2019 by the Department of Economics. The theme of the event was chosen to be “Indian Economy in 21st century: Prospects and Challenges”. The event received over 60 abstracts from over 10 colleges/universities across the country, from which 10 were chosen for final presentations at the University.

The judges for the competition were Dr. Malini LT from ISEC and Dr. Leena Nair from JNC. The participants were given 10 minutes to finish their presentations, followed by a question answer session. The event brought together papers that were diverse and from different orientations. Three best papers were ranked and awarded cash prizes for their exemplary work. The event concluded by afternoon after having enriched the participants and audience on different issues and research methods that could benefit them for future endeavors.
