Parivaar is a student group which focuses on the betterment of the people and society at large.  Started in the year 2015 with 4 students, the clan has grown to 40 members with the same perspective, to break barriers and help people. Parivaar has 4 main events which are conducted every year:

Community lunch - “If you knew what I know about the power of giving, you would not let a single meal pass without sharing it in some way.” - Buddha. Community lunch is an everyday initiative taken by the Department of Hotel Management. We provide 350 meals - 5 days a week (Monday to Friday), in the main campus during the lunch break. The community lunch kitchen is operated by students with the help of support staff and faculty of the department. The prefixed menu is planned with the nutritious aspects in mind, and prepared by the students. Community lunch helps the students to inculcate values and learn the techniques of bulk cooking.

Parigraha – an event where the students come together to sell food on campus and raise money for a particular cause. Parigraha is conducted by the second and first year students twice a year.. The students are given the opportunity to choose a theme and prepare the food accordingly. The students are required to find sponsors to back them, this will also help in networking and negotiation skills.

Saathiya – This event is conducted in the month of September by the members of parivaar, in partnership with a self help group, through Centre Social Action. The self help group brings food which we help them sell on campus, to raise money for their group.

Awareness Programme – is conducted every month by the students selected from the parivar group. It is an awareness programme where in every month a particular topic is chosen and the selected students are required to collect information and create a unique way in raising awareness. Breast Cancer, Environment day, Water recycle, National Tourism Day, Mental Health, Animal Abuse, Pollution awareness etc., are some of the areas that this event focuses on.
