Congratulations to Richu Rajesh

Mr Richu Rajesh, Assistant Professor, Department of Statistics and Data Science, received the Prof. Jayaraman Sethuraman Gold Medal, renowned as the prestigious ISPS Young Statistician Award in the 42nd annual convention of the Indian Society for Probability and Statistics (ISPS), held at the Department of Statistics, Cochin University of Science and Technology held during January 04 - 06, 2023. The award is nominated to young researchers for the best paper in Statistics and related domains.

Dr. Nimitha John

Dr. Nimitha John received Dr. A.R Kamat Best PhD thesis award for the year 2018 awarded by Indian society of Probability and Statistics.

Dr Thomas Xavier

Dr. Thomas Xavier visited the University of Manchester's School of Mathematics from 14 April to 03 May 2023. He collaborated with Dr. Saralees Nadarajah on statistical distribution theory, focusing on datasets with high kurtosis. The London Mathematical Society (LMS) funded the visit through their Scheme 5 grant.
