from the HOD

The Department of Political Science and History has expanded the scope of studying political science and history by introducing critical and multi-disciplinary perspective. The experienced and highly qualified faculty members make the department academically stronger and futuristic in planning courses. The triple major programmes EMP (Economics, Media Studies and Political Science) and EPH (English, Political Science and History) are unique interdisciplinary courses exposing the students to contemporary political and historical concepts from different disciplinary perspectives. The BA Political Science (Honors) programme has been designed to train students with recent political theoretical aspects from multiple disciplines to develop a holistic perspective. Our Undergraduate programmes are training students to develop critical thinking and with a focus on career and contribution towards the society.

The curricular and co-curricular activities are designed to strengthen students’ knowledge, skills and attitude.
