WINTER SCHOOL ON MIGRATION

In an era of unprecedented global precarity, human mobility has emerged as a defining structural force reshaping socio-political, economic, and cultural landscapes. The Winter School, "Migration Realities: A Global and South East Asian Contextual Dialogue," provides a critical academic forum to unpack these complex dynamics, centering on South and Southeast Asian corridors, with a particular focus on India's pivotal role. By employing an intersectional and transdisciplinary approach, this program interrogates distinct thematic axes.

The Winter School on Migration serves as a critical pedagogical and praxis-oriented intervention, interrogating the multifaceted dynamics of contemporary human mobility through a sociologically rigorous lens. By centralizing the nexus of migration, development, and global governance, the program critically examines the structural vulnerabilities inherent in both internal labor corridors and international transit regimes.

This Winter School integrates epistemological inquiry with praxis, the curriculum deconstructs the structural vulnerabilities of mobile population, addressing systemic inequalities within global migration regimes and the sociopolitical marginalisation of labour in contemporary frameworks.
