This course is primarily designed to introduce students from various disciplines to the various research methods used in social sciences.
One of the primary objectives of this certificate course is to enable the students to conceptualize, formulate and conduct research projects.
This course will definitely help the students from the streams of social sciences, humanities and management studies to pursue their dissertation work at Post Graduate level.
In addition, this will give a clear understanding to the students from the science streams about the different methods used in social sciences.
In order to ensure this, the students will be familiarized in a practical manner with the process of research, methods and tools that are widely used in social sciences.
As a practical component of this course, students will be divided into groups and encouraged to prepare a survey report of their choice using a suitable method of research.

Objective: To introduce students to the various methods of research that are used by Social Scientists.
