Course Description
This certificate course offered by CHRIST (Deemed to be University) is endorsed by Hank Nunn Institute, Living Learning Experience, UK, Institute of Mental Health, Nottingham, Personality Disorder Network, UK and The Consortium of Therapeutic Communities, UK. The Living Learning Experience (LLE) is designed to help students develop reflective practice skills in the context of a structured program of activities designed to explore the experience of being a member of a residential community or mental health unit. The course is based on the Therapeutic Community methodology It has been running every year in the UK since 1995. The workshop promotes understanding of processes in groups, and how to harness them to therapeutic benefit, through a combination of teaching and experience. The teaching modules will specifically focus on personality disorders as this is still a diagnosis of exclusion in our country. There is a need to address people suffering from Personality Disorders , the complexities involved and develop services for treatment and recovery. The course will be facilitated by experienced psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, group analysts and psychotherapists.
