Johny Joseph

Chief Mentor, TLEC

Fr Joseph CC

He is the Vice Chancellor of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), with his educational foundation in History and Education. Fr Joseph C C is the Director of Student Affairs and is also Professor with the Department of International Studies and History. He has been a guiding force behind the educational innovations and practices that have been adopted by the University.

Anil Joseph Pinto

He is the Registrar of CHRIST (Deemed to be University) and has a background in English, Translations Studies, and Cultural Studies. He also guides research in MPhil and PhD in English Studies and Media Studies. His areas of research interest are history of higher education in India, digital classroom, Konkani literature, university education in English and Media, self-translations. He has experimented with integrating digital technologies into higher education classrooms. He is also the coordinator of Centre for Publications, and Managing editor of University Journals

Tony Sam George

An experienced Professor of Psychology with a demonstrated history of working in the education management industry. Skilled in E-Learning, Social Services, Group Therapy, Student Counseling, and Family Therapy. Strong education professional with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) focused in Group Psychotherapy from National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Bangalore. He is a practicing psychotherapist and is involved in training, research and clinical practice. He is the Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, Additional Director, Centre for Research, Head of the Psychology department and spearheads Centre for Research at Christ University, Bangalore India.

Dr Suparna Majumdar Kar is the Associate Director of the Teaching Learning Enhancement Cell. She has a PhD in Sociology and has been working in Higher Education at CHRIST for more than 19 years. She has been working on capacity building for faculty in higher education since 2015 and with the Teaching Learning Enhancement Cell at CHRIST since 2016. She has worked extensively on the teaching, learning, and assessment practices across the University. Some of the areas that the TLEC team is currently working on are Outcome Based Education and the constructive alignment of the curriculum in keeping with the University’s emphasis on holistic development. She has visited leading universities in India and abroad to study their best practices. She completed the Harvard BOK Higher Education Teaching Certificate in 2020 and has designed an online course on an Introduction to Hybrid Teaching.

Suparna Majumdar Kar

Dr. Maya M is a faculty in Sociology with research interest in the area of indigenous communities, ecology, conservation, education, health and development. She was part of a team doing a project ‘Continuing of Education for Disadvantaged Adolescents in South Asia’ which is funded by Center for Coordination of Research, International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU). Along with having an expertise in blended teaching, she has demonstrated skills in planning online course curriculum, developing own open educational resources, assessment planning, rubrics preparation and online evaluation. She has completed the one-month Teaching and Learning Community Exchange Programme organized by Network of Conservation Educators and Practitioners, Center for Biodiversity and Conservation, American Museum of Natural History in July 2020 and the professional Certificate Course on Adaptive Design Learning (ADL) by Aeneo de Manila University’s Institute for the Science and Art of Learning and Teaching (SALT) during September- December 2021 which was funded by United Board. She is also a part of an ongoing research project on Whole Person Education funded by United Board.

Maya M

Dr. Jimmy Thankachan is an associate professor at Christ University in Bangalore, India. She completed her M. Com in Human Resource Management and is NET (National Eligibility Test) qualified. Her teaching experience spans 17 years. Her PhD focused on Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior, with an emphasis on “Emotional Intelligence, Spiritual Intelligence, and Quality of Work Life of Management Teachers in Higher Education Institutions”. She has published research articles in journals such as Asian Case Research Journal and International Journal of Emerging Technologies and Innovative Research. Research interests include Diversity and Inclusion, Neuro Linguistic Programming and Emotional Intelligence, Assurance of Learning under the AACSB accreditation, Cross-cultural study, Reverse Mentoring and Workplace Discrimination and Policy.

Jimmy Thankachan

Dr Suparna Naresh has been teaching for close to 29 years at various colleges in Bangalore city, India. Her present stint at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) spans nearly 14 years. Dr Naresh holds a PhD in Mass Communication & Journalism from Bangalore University. She has co-authored two text-books- ‘Introduction to Mass Communication’ and ‘Media Laws & Ethics-An Appraisal’. Dr Naresh has several research articles to her credit. Bollywood, changing trends in Journalism, celebrity public relations strategies, are few of her favorite interests.

Suparna Naresh

Amrisha is an Assistant Professor at the School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University). She has completed her Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the West Bengal University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata in International and Comparative Law. Her academic interests include public international law, critical legal studies, empirical legal studies, and political thought. Her professional experience includes teaching international laws, philosophy of law, outer space law and legal methods. Her current research focuses on refugee status determination and human rights. She also has publications of national and international repute to her credit.

Amrisha Tripathi

Working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Automobile Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore. Teaching Experience of 8 years. Published 24 scopus indexed and peer reviewed Journals. Patented 1 Foreign Patent, 2 Indian Patents and 1 Copyright. Have written 1 Book and 3 Book Chapters. Handholding different activities of Department and University related to IQAC, NAAC, SP and NBA. Specific works handheld from Department are Internship, Centre for Social Action (CSA), Strategic Plan, CDC, PAC and DAC, MOMs Incharges. Also a HED Institutional trainer (PG) module bringing transformation in young minds. Strong belief in commitment to work and bringing a change to educational society.

Ivan Sunit Rout

Dr Kukatlapalli Pradeep Kumar is an enthusiastic educator and researcher in the area of data provenance, information security and computer forensics. He has around 12 years of experience in academics in direct teaching mode to UG, PG and PhD students. His bachelor’s in BTech Electronics and Computer Engineering from JNTU Hyderabad, India. MTech in Software Engineering from Kakatiya University, Warangal, India. He has published in a good number of journals and conference papers during his PhD and continuing his writings with same rigor. His areas of interests include Computer Forensics, Data Science, Information Security, Data Provenance, Software Engineering and Multiparty Secret Sharing. He has PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Christ University. He is the lead editor for two books which are currently in press to be published from Wiley and CRC publishers. Currently serving as Coordinator for Bachelor’s program Data Science program at Christ University, Bangalore, India.

Kukatlapalli Pradeep Kumar

Joined CHRIST (Deemed to be University) in 2014 and has been a member of TLEC since 2018. Completed my PhD in Law in 2018 from University of North Bengal and has many publications in national and international journals to my credit. I have organised workshops across different department of the University on Constructive Alignment and is also a trainer for Outcome Based Education mapping.

Pukhraj Agarwal

Dr Rituparna Chakraborty is currently a faculty in the Department of Psychology, CHRIST University, Bangalore. She has been teaching in colleges and universities for more than 6 years, at UG, PG and PhD levels. Her specialization subjects in teaching are developmental & child psychology, qualitative research methods, social psychology, gender relations, and media psychology. Dr Rituparna primarily works within the qualitative research paradigm and has been empirically studying concepts on violence against children, body-image issues among adolescents, adolescent and children identity concepts, body and subjective rights, marginalization, life-space, systemic oppression, feminist & post-feminist approaches to gender rights & sexuality, intersectionality, and media psychology for the last 13 years. Dr Rituparna holds a PhD from the Department of Psychology, University of Calcutta. She was the recipient of a prestigious University research fellowship during her doctoral work. She has been honoured and awarded for her accomplishments in doctoral research by the National Academy of Psychology (NAOP), India.   Dr Rituparna has published multiple scientific papers in SCOPUS-indexed journals. She has also authored a book chapter on ‘Children Witnessing Violence in India: Nature, Risk Factors, Impact and Prevention Strategies’ in the edited book ‘Child Safety, Welfare and Well-being’, published by Springer Singapore

Rituparna Chakraborty

Bhavna Bajaj, PhD, has nearly 10 years of experience in the Indian education space. She has worked with Universities, Education Service Providers and Indian SMEs to develop innovative training programs for over 9000 learners. She was part of the team that helped GoI develop India's first long-duration degree program in Entrepreneurship, which fuelled her interest in exploring the role of formal education in creating behavioral and societal change. Her research interests include Workplace Learning, Psychometric Assessments, Higher Education, and Self-in-groups. She is currently working as Assistant Professor at the School of Business and Management, CHRIST (Deemed to be University).

Bhavna Bajaj

Dr. Prakasha G S is an Associate Professor at School of Education, and Research Associate at TLEC, Christ University, Bangalore, India. He has 20 years of teaching and research experience in Education. He completed his Master’s in Education from RIE, Mysore. PhD from Bangalore University. He has also completed MSc and MPhil, He cleared National eligibility test (NET) and awarded junior research fellowship (JRF) in 2009. He is a certified IB Educator in MYP and DP from DePaul University, Chicago, USA. His research interest areas are Teacher education, Educational Technology, Teaching-learning, Assessment and Evaluation, and Higher education. He has published in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus and web of science. He conducts National level workshop on quantitative data analysis frequently. He has presented papers in national and international conferences at Bangkok, Switzerland, and Russia. He is an active editorial board member for Sage Open, Springer Nature, Tylor & Francis, and IGI Global. He is actively involved in research activities, which have national and international importance.

She has presented around 30 research papers in different conferences at national and international level. She also took keen interest in learning new software and has expertise in SPSS, AMOS, STATA, IBM Cognos – visualization and Tableau.

Sirisha Uppaluri

I teach English Language and Literature at the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Levels at CHRIST University. I coordinate the MA in English with Communication Studies Program for the Department of English and Cultural Studies at the Central Campus. I take interest in English Language Learning and Teaching. I am a student and a teacher trainer on various themes and topics.

Joseph Edward Felix

Prof Krishna Prasath is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce. His areas of specialization are Branding, Digital Marketing and Business Analytics. He has a teaching experience of more than 9 years, and industrial experience of 3 years. He has been associated with All India Radio, Coimbatore since 2010. He has written a lot of case studies, poems and has copyrighted his innovative pedagogic techniques. He is a digital marketer certified by Government of India and is associated with projects partnered with the State Government of Karnataka and Sreenarayanaguru Open University, Kerala.

Dr Senthilnathan T, Associate professor in Computer Science having over 20 years of experience in various academic activities practiced in educational institutions. He is an active participant in Incorporating Digital Technologies and tools in the different stages of Teaching Learning Process. He is an AWS certified educator for the various cloud service offered by the AWS.

Smitha Baboo

Sunayana Bhat, Assistant Professor School of law has completed LLM in corporate and commercial laws from Christ (deemed to be) university Bangalore. She is pursuing her PhD in Competition and telecommunication law from Christ University. She has a teaching experience of 3 years. She has presented papers in various National and International Conferences and has published articles in various reputed journals. She has previously worked with Krishna S Dixit, Honorable justice, High Court of Karnataka. She is the Coordinator for IQAC Committee.

Sunayana Bhat

Tulasi.B, Associate Professor CHRIST (Deemed to be University) with research interest in learning analytics, Big Data analytics and predictive modeling. Have published around 15 research papers in international refereed journals. Main area of interest is enhancement of teaching learning using analytics.

Tulasi B

She is an Assistant Professor in Law at Christ University, Lavasa. She pursued her legal studies at the Indian Law Society's Law College, Pune. Her academic interest spreads across the Philosophy of Law, Animal Law Studies, and Insolvency Laws, She has conducted research to assess the Impact of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code on Corporate Insolvency and has presented a research paper on areas of Human Rights, Animals Rights Law and Education. She practiced in the field of Arbitration, Property, and Criminal Laws.

Amrutha Rose J Valavi

Naived George Eapen, being a Post Graduate in Computer Science and a Google Certified Educator, has an experience of working with AI and ML based live projects and has interned in two different companies as a Full Stack Web Developer and AI Engineer.

Mr Naived is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Data Science, Pune Lavasa Campus. He emphaises on having self-directed and experiential learning methods, and personalised assessments, inspired from the Montessori education approach.

His interests in Computer Science are towards Computer Vision, Machine Learning, API Development and Programming Fundamentals. He is passionate to work with programming and scripting languages such as C, JAVA, Python, Android, Javascript, C#, Matlab etc.

Naived George Eapen

Dr Amit Malhotra is engaged in management education for more than 17 years. His areas of interest are Finance, Strategic Management and Human Resource Management.
Besides, a Ph.D in Management, Dr. Amit has qualified UGE-NET examination in Commerce and has done three Masters level programs. He is a holder of Accounting Technician Certificate awarded by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi. He has also done a Certificate program in Human Resource Management from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
Currently, he is engaged at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Ghaziabad as an Associate Professor in the School of Commerce, Finance & Accountancy.
Dr. Amit has been a Resource Person for the training programs conducted by UGC- Human Resource Center, Kumaun University, Naintal and institutions of Higher Learning. He is also empaneled as a Certified Financial Educator with Securities & Exchange Board of India.

 

Amit Malhotra

Ms. Arunima Shastri is currently working as an Assistant Professor at School of Law CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Delhi-NCR. She is an Alumna of National Law University Odisha and UPES, Dehradun with her Specialization in Commercial and Corporate Laws. She has a special interest in Intellectual Property Laws and is Pursuing her PhD from Gujarat National Law
University on Visual Arts and its Legal Interfaces. She has presented papers in many prestigious Universities – Texas A&M, Northumbria University, UK, Cardozo School of Law, US to name a few. She has various National and International Publication to her name in the areas of Negative Space of Intellectual Property, Real Estate Laws, Investment laws. She has delivered lectures in Allameh tabataba'i University, Iran and European University of Cyprus.

 

Arunima Shastri

Dr. Shilpa Srivastava is Associate Professor and Academic Coordinator of School of Sciences at Christ University Delhi NCR. She is also leading the CDC cell and is an active member of DSA (Department Social Action Cell) of School of Sciences, Delhi NCR. She has done her Graduation in B.Sc(H) Mathematics from Delhi University, Post Graduation (MCA) from MCRP University, Bhopal and Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from a State Technical University "Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun". She is also UGC NET qualified in Computer Science Applications. She has vast teaching and research experience of more than 20 years in Engineering/,UG and PG streams. She has a number of publications in journals and conferences of national and international repute . She is a reviewer of Indexed Journals (SCI, SCOPUS) and International Conferences . She has one Patent and has worked in a Research Project as a CO-PI, in collaboration with IIT Roorkee. The project was funded by Liverpool Hope University, UK. She has guided many students of BCA, B.Tech. and MCA in their major projects. Presently, she is guiding three Ph.D. scholars in the field of machine learning. Her areas of interest include Application of Soft Computing in medical domain, Theory of Computation, Algorithms, E-health services, Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence.

Fr Biju k chacko

A passionate, resourceful educationist and creative professional holding a Ph.D degree from Christ University, he has practical and academic accolades to shine in the field of education. Focused and hardworking with knowledge, experience, and understanding gained predominantly in the areas of technology integration prevailing in the fields of education and media communication, digital media marketing, designing books, magazines, and websites, and faculty training. His vision is Creating an effective teaching community by sharing and gaining knowledge selflessly.

Vinay M

Dr Vinay M is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and is the co ordinator of Office of Online Training and Examination. He manages the complete LMS of the university. More than 22000 students, 850 faculty members, 5 campuses. He is a Passionate Teacher, high quality tainer, Technology tool specialist. He has received a Microsoft Faculty Fellow award from Microsoft Inc. in the year 2013, Nobel Researcher Award, 2018 for outstanding excellence in the field of Research and Co curriculum from RULA International awards on 15th August 2018. He is also a Google Certified Trainer, Google Certified Educator, Google Digital Unlocked Digital Marketing Expert, Certified Microsoft Innovative Educator 2018.
