Vishal?s research interests include wealth and income inequality, class society, social mobility, gender studies, and media representation. He focuses on examining the ideological dimensions of neoliberal discourses on economic development, law, education, and political economy. He has been with the Department of Professional Studies for nearly a decade. Vishal is credited with designing a unique interdisciplinary course, Commerce and Indian Society. This course helps commerce students critically engage with India?s political economy using concepts from economics, sociology, and the Indian Constitution.
