About The Centre
CHRIST (Deemed to be University), as an institution of higher education dedicated to excellence and service, is committed to supporting and optimizing its organizational and employee potential and success. The Centre for Organizational and Professional Effectiveness (COPE) at the Bannerghatta Road Campus was hence established to:
a)    Facilitate an effective organization & manage the complexities inherent in a dynamic workforce
b)    Improve performance and success potential through skill acquisition
c)    Increase resilience and better manage professional concerns


Services Provided


A. Internal:

1. Work/Life Programs (for all employees)
Employees can receive short-term, confidential, solution-focused counseling and coaching to maintain professional and personal well-being for issues such as, but not limited to:

  • Stress Management
  • Organizational Change
  • Work Relationships
  • Professional Development
  • Emotional And/ Or Psychological Issues
  • Building Resilience
  • Wellness Concerns
  • Grief And Loss

The COPE provides interactive and experiential training programs for professional and personal development that have a direct application to employees’ role on campus, such as

  • Coaching Skills
  • Constructive Feedback
  • Leadership Transition
  • Communication Styles at Work
  • Influencing and Negotiation Skills
  • Managing a Team
  • Managing Emotions at Work

2. Management Support Programs
The center provides specialized support and advice for supervisors and managers(such as deans, cluster/departmental heads) in managing the workplace.


3. Disruptive Event Management
In the event that employees/ departments are impacted by shared events such as death/ illness of a colleague, inappropriate workplace behavior, or any other disruptive circumstances that may potentially adversely affect employees, the COPE provides education, support, intervention and management, as needed.


4. Organizational Development and Training
Departments, supervisors and teams can contact the COPE to assess professional needs and provide customized interventions or consulting as needed.

 

B. External: (for educational institutions and corporates)

1. Learning and Development (L & D) programs
Invited/ open workshops and seminars on Best Practices in People Management, Advances in Organizational Development and Leadership, Work/Life Programs and related professional and personal effectiveness topics will be conducted for educational institutions and corporates, or for the public at large.


2. Organizational Development & Leadership Consultancy
Educational institutions and corporates can contact the Centre to assist in designing and delivering Organizational Development and Leadership solutions for their workplace needs. These may include Employee Engagement, Talent Management, Team Effectiveness and Competency Development.
