Deanery is playing an important role in the academic administration in Christ University. It has a major role to play in guiding the departments to improve the standard of higher education in respect to teaching, learning, evaluation, research and publication. Deanery takes initiative in assisting the departments to strengthen the existing programmes and start new programs to create opportunities for the aspiring students.
The Deanery has good number of publications in the National and International refereed journals.
The Deanery looks after the admission process of students for various programmes, orientation programmes, Holistic Education, Orientation on Environment Studies and Indian Constitution ,Certificate Programmes, Association Activities, Attendance Monitoring , fee Concession , Scholarship and Faculty Evaluation.
The Deanery also takes care of the Faculty Selection, Faculty Induction programme, Faculty development programme , department meetings, Faculty professional development programmes, Faculty out bound programme , Research & publications and Faculty Appraisal . The office looks after the award of Scholarships and fee concessions to students, performance appraisals of faculty, review the budget proposals and other requirements of the departments. The Deans also overview the attendance monitoring and personal counseling of students through the counselors.
Deanery of Science has nine Departments under its fold – Physics (P), Chemistry (C), Mathematics (M), Botany (B), Zoology (Z), Statistics (S), Electronics (E), Computer Science (Cs) and Biotechnology (Bt) offering under-graduate and postgraduate programmes. In the UG programme, there are seven triple main B.Sc. combinations – PCM, PME, CBZ, CsMS, CsME BtCB, BtCZ, in addition to Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA). PG programmes are offered in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science and Computer Applications. In addition, a number of certificate courses are also offered to the students.
